Polygon Labs is bringing its Open Money Stack payments infrastructure to Solana, the two said on October 29, 2026, CoinDesk reported. The arrangement does not merge the two blockchains. Businesses keep sending stablecoins on Solana and use Polygon’s banking connections and payment services for the rest.

Through Open Money Stack, businesses building on Solana can accept bank transfers, card payments and cash through supported providers, create customer wallets, move assets between blockchains, and send money to bank accounts through a single integration. Polygon describes the stack as enterprise payments infrastructure for stablecoins and tokenized deposits, built to plug into existing systems rather than replace them, according to its documentation.

Kira, a cross-border payments company, is among the first users. It uses Solana for stablecoin transfers and Polygon’s banking connections so customers can pay overseas suppliers in dollars.

Solana has recorded more than $5.7 trillion in stablecoin transfers so far this year, according to Jamal Raees, general manager of payments at the Solana Foundation. Polygon has recorded more than $3 trillion in total transfers since launch, a figure that includes wallet-to-wallet transfers, not only payments.

“Businesses shouldn’t have to rebuild their payments infrastructure for every network,” said Aishwary Gupta, global head of business at Polygon Labs.

Raees said: “Our focus is to make it easier for payment and stablecoin activity to continue to scale on the network.”

The two networks were long rivals. Polygon recently added TRON support to Open Money Stack and acquired US crypto payments company Coinme.
